Secretary Message

Dear friends, I extend my heartiest congratulations to you all for electing a dynamic and vibrant bar; and am grateful to you personally for reposing trust on me again and electing me as the Hony. Secretary for the second time.

I was fortunate that in 2004, you had elected and granted me an opportunity to serve you as the Treasurer; and in 2009, as the Hony. Secretary, NDBA. As I did during my last tenure; in this tenure also, I shall endeavour to the best of my abilities to bring-in transparency, good governance and accountability. I believe, “Transparency” and “Fairness” are not ideas simplicitor; but challenges to be accomplished in every decision making.

Friends! Since the day, we have resumed in our office; our entire team is working tirelessly to make NDBA an active and an efficient Bar –which would work towards your welfare vigilantly and transparently. We are focusing on improving basic facilities like canteen, Ladies Bar Room, library, toilets etc. Improvement of the medical facilities, clean and hygienic court complex are our priorities. Ensuring that new entrants and financially weaker members of the Bar are given opportunities, we are contemplating to bring-in new schemes. Efforts will be made to ensure that infrastructure wise there is an improvement. Adherence to the Rule of Law and strengthening the Bar and Bench relationships will be key in the functioning of the Bar. I assure, we will collectively strive to achieve the aims and objectives of the NDBA and will take the Bar to a greater height.

I am always against and have also always tried to demolish the Culture of Administration-without- Accountability, Governance-without- Responsibility and Position-without- Contribution. Ambitions are high! Passion to do is intense! Let’s bring in the Change!

Sincerely yours

Nagendra Kumar
Hony. Secretary
